The Omni Resultant Finder pairs a 2.0" Omni Block with a green Class 3 laser to visually indicate the resultant of a pulley—defined as the bisector of the rope path in a single-pulley redirect.

The Omni Laser Resultant Finder (LRF) is designed for both live operations and training applications, helping users better understand load direction and system geometry

Important Note: In complex, multi-pulley systems—or in winch/tie-off-on-leg applications—the laser-indicated resultant does not represent the direction of applied force. Do not rely on the LRF to indicate applied force in these scenarios. The LRF is never a substitute for properly guying, securing, and backing up an artificial high-directional.

Includes waterproof case, usb-c charging cable and wall plug.

LASER SAFETY – PLEASE NOTE

The P53-L uses a Class 3R green laser, which is approved for use in construction and rigging work under Australian WHS regulations. Class 3R lasers carry a low risk of eye injury when used correctly, however direct or reflected beam exposure can cause eye damage.

Under clause 223 of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017, end users are responsible for ensuring laser equipment is operated safely, workers are trained in its proper use, and accidental irradiation of any person is prevented. Penalties apply for non-compliance.

 Key safe use reminders:

  •  Never stare into the laser aperture or point the beam at personnel

  •  Avoid aiming at highly reflective surfaces such as polished hardware or glass

  •  Deactivate the laser immediately after each reading

  •  Store in the supplied case to prevent accidental activation in transit

We recommend all operators review the Rock Exotica tech notice and your organisation's SWMS before deploying this device on site

DIRECTIONAL FRAME

The Omni Resultant Finder indicates the precise direction of the applied force only when the line passing through the pulley does not connect to or redirect from the Vortex at any other point. In this configuration, the Vortex is used as a DIRECTIONAL FRAME.

RESULTANT = APPLIED FORCE

ANCHOR FRAME

When the line running through the Omni Resultant Finder connects to or redirects from the Vortex, the laser-indicated resultant will NOT correspond with the direction of Applied Force.

RESULTANT ≠ APPLIED FORCE

When the line connects to the Vortex leg as shown in this example, the Vortex functions as an ANCHOR FRAME. The applied force in all variations of the anchor frame will not be equal to the resultant, or bisect of the line running through the LRF. DO NOT rely on the LRF to indicate the applied force in the conditions described above.

WARNING: Failure to identify the correct applied force and rig accordingly can result in toppling the Vortex or other system. Advanced training and a thorough understanding of applied force as explained in the Vortex user manual is required.
